Jessica came and knocked on our door at 5:30, but we were already awake. We got ready quickly and went to meet everyone at the Land Rover at 6:00. It was really chilly. We wore our down jackets, gloves, and scarves. We had started driving around looking for animals when Jessica got a radio call that a leopard had been spotted near the lodge. We went on a high speed chase through the bush. We were bumping out of our seats and the wind was freezing cold. We made it back to the lodge and drove down by the river. We saw the leopard and Jessica told us it was a female. She was beautiful! Her fur looked soft and smooth and her spots were incredible. We watched her as she went in and out of the plants by the river before crossing the river. We went to the water hole and saw the hippo hanging out there.
